Shipping Terms and Conditions
 
 
Shipping and postal packaging are included in prices on this site and clearly visible before purchases are confirmed.
 
The receipt sent with delivery will not include pricing or cardholder information.
 
We endeavour to forward deliveries on the day of order this should ensure that you receive your chocolates quickly many by the next day, if ordered before 2pm Monday to Friday. For orders placed after 2pm, these will fall into the next days dispatch. We do not dispatch any orders at weekends, so if you place an order after 2pm on Friday, it will not be delivered to you until Tuesday. The exception to the above being where you have pre-ordered, for example,  if you have specified a later delivery date then we will dispatch your order to coincide with your wishes and specified delivery date.
 
It is a fact that once we have dispatched your order they are literally out of our hands and we are both at the mercy of the delivery company. First Class post should arrive by the next business day but neither Royal Mail nor An Post guarantees this. Every endeavour will be made to dispatch your order as stated above however, in the unlikely event that it is delivered a day late, please accept our apologies in advance.
  
We can also offer Courier service for larger purchases. We track your order and email the tracking details to you.  Special Delivery which offers a tracked, timed and signed for delivery.
  
If your delivery does not arrive by 6pm of the next business day after your requested delivery date please let us know. Where possible we will chase up what has happened to your package with the shipping company.
 
All items are securely packed so that they should withstand the shipping process. Please note that our shipping boxes are designed to provide proper protection for the products within. As a result they are too large to fit through a standard letter box. If you are not at home to accept the package, the delivery company will normally leave a card informing you of their attempted delivery and providing you with options which range from a second delivery to your collection from your local post office/courier depot. It is your responsibility to be able to accept delivery. It may be easier for you if you are not at home during the day to ask us to deliver to your work address or a neighbour by specifying a different delivery address.
  
If for an unusual reason we do not have what you have ordered, you will not have to wait long and we will immediately inform you of options. Options will offer a replacement item or information on how to cancel your order to receive a full refund.
  
If you wish to place an order with a delayed delivery date (eg. you want the chocolates to arrive for Fathers Day) you can easily specify this by using the options available on the Shopping Cart. We will then ship with the appropriate carrier to allow for arrival on the requested date.
  
We can accept a regular shipping request, just email us the shipping pattern and we do the rest. For example you will be able to order www.belgian-chocs.com for the last Friday every month to be delivered to your office.
 
We are happy to ship boxes to any address within the European Union. Our policy for this is the same as for shipping within Ireland, Northern Ireland and the United Kingdom. (please see above) EXCEPT that it is necessary to allow for further time for the package to arrive. Depending on your location, you should allow between 3 - 7 days for delivery therefore please allow for this when specifying the date for delivery. We will endeavour to meet your requested date but are unable to offer any guarantees and the package may arrive early or a few days late. Holdens will however do everything possible to please our customers by meeting the requested date.
 
NB: Holdens reserve the right to reject and refund orders that have requested delivery to addresses where we do not believe that we can deliver a product in an acceptable condition. This mainly applies to very warm countries during the summer months.
 
Shipping to Countries not Covered Above 
Unfortunately, Holden’s regret that we currently are not able to deliver to countries not included above.  
 
Wedding and Large Deliveries
Wedding and other larger deliveries may be personally delivered by us or sent by courier,
 
Returns
Holden’s are confident that you will enjoy receiving and tasting your chocolates. They will at least meet your expectations for quality and taste. Please enjoy your artisan chocolates made in Brugge. See you again soon.
